Step 1
Take the Medical Management Introductory course, available in an online, self-paced format. This course focuses on the physiology and complexity of reproductive hormones and how they impact overall health.
Step 2
Next, enroll in the Medical Management Masterclass. The Masterclass is offered in two formats: an online, self-paced course, or live (with both in-person and virtual options) each year in the US and Africa.
Step 3
After the Masterclass, certified providers receive a variety of resources and benefits, including evidence-based protocol textbooks and ongoing support. Scroll down to read more about these resources.
Maintain Your Status
Providers are required to re-take the Masterclass every 2 years to maintain status as a certified FEMM Medical Provider. Many of our providers choose to retake the course yearly, as new research is released and new protocols are developed.
CMEs Awarded for Each Course
All of our medical courses have been awarded CME credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. These CMEs are awarded via your certificate upon completion of the course.
Intro: 20 CMEs
Masterclass: 18 CMEs
Advanced topics: 8-12 CMEs per course

Evidence-based Protocol Guidelines and Materials
Each provider receives the latest RHRI protocols books for ovarian dysfunction, menopause, infertility management, and other disorders. Upon registering for the FEMM Medical Management Masterclass, we will arrange shipment of these textbooks to you (or provide them in-person if you are attending the live masterclass).
Note: international providers outside of the US may pay a small additional shipping fee; please contact us for more information.

Access to Advanced Medical Courses
After completing the Masterclass, providers become eligible to register for ongoing advanced topic courses, including obesity, mental health and hormones, ovarian aging, infertility, and PCOS. These 1-2 day courses are available as self-paced, online options, with a new advanced topic released yearly and available to view live or online.
Access to a Network of Medical Professionals + Email List Serve
Providers have the opportunity to participate in a dedicated email list-serve group. This group is designed to effectively facilitate communication among providers, for sharing challenging cases, new research, and other relevant information.
Exclusive Monthly Case Study Research Discussion Groups
These invite-only live case study discussion groups allow providers opportunities to present their own patient cases, receive feedback from other providers, and learn more about implementing the FEMM protocols. Case studies are available in all global timezones.
Listing in the online FEMM Provider Directory
Providers each receive a customized listing in our public provider directory, where patients can see your information and reach out to you or your clinic for treatment.

How does FEMM compare to other restorative reproductive medicine programs?
FEMM goes further, recognizing that reproductive health affects the health of the whole body. One of our providers recently elaborated: "We want our patients to be mothers, but we also want them to someday be grandmothers." Meaning, let us treat the health of the woman so that she has a long, healthy life and also help her with her fertility goals in the process.
I'm not a medical prescriber, but I'm really interested in learning about the FEMM Medical Management program. Is there an option for me?
Yes! Anyone (whether you are a student, nurse, FEMM Teacher, work in the medical field or an adjacent field, or simply want to learn more) is able to take these courses as an auditor. The audit version of each course has the same content as the version for medical providers, with a few key differences: no CEs will be granted, you will not receive the protocol guidelines and textbooks, and you will not become a certified FEMM Provider upon completion. The audit option is offered on each course's individual page (see above).
I'd like to implement these protocols in my clinic/hospital. Are there options for training multiple providers?
Yes, please reach out using the link below to discuss further.
I'm a medical prescriber, but I don't need any more CMEs for the year, or my country doesn't recognize CMEs. Can I take the audit version of the course instead?
No, we advise you not to audit the course. Auditors don't receive the materials or become certified providers.
I'm a medical resident or student. Can I take these courses?
Absolutely! We love having medical residents and students take these courses, and strongly encourage attending the masterclass in-person option. If you will still be studying or in residency for 1+ years, we recommend auditing the courses until you are closer to finishing your program.
The RHRI was established to develop and expand ongoing research in the area of reproductive health and endocrinology, and to bring research and foundational knowledge directly to clinicians through educational programs and clinical protocols.
The RHRI is built on decades of research, and, in particular, on the research of James Brown, PhD, and Dr. Emil Steinberger. Often called the "father of estrogen," Dr. Brown was the first to document and publish the pattern of estrogen across a woman’s cycle. This unlocked the understanding of ovulation and its relation to health and fertility.
Ongoing research conducted by the RHRI, along with research collaboration and partnership across a wide range of countries and disciplines, continues to inform the evidence-based model for care offered through the FEMM and RHRI medical programs.
The FEMM and RHRI protocols provide a diagnostic and treatment-based approach to a range of hormonal disorders, including ovarian dysfunction, polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid imbalances, endometriosis, depression, menopause
and infertility. Protocols diagnose symptoms of pain, headache, anxiety, fatigue, weight gain, hirsutism, and acne, helping physicians identify the underlying hormonal issues, with the aim of restoring health.
Treatment plans help women recover healthy hormonal function. Depending on the diagnosis, stage of condition, and lifestyle, treatment ranges from immunological and targeted pharmacological interventions, along with significant emphasis on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
"Our work as clinicians in restorative reproductive medicine should be to optimize ovulatory function as much as possible. It isn't just about menstrual cycles, but about our overall health in the brain, heart, bones, and more!"
Karen poehailos, md, Charlottesville, virginia
“FEMM is an opportunity for women to become more conscious and responsible with decisions they make about their body. Nowadays, there are a lot of issues in the area of reproductive health in which we have to make decisions without enough information. FEMM is a response to this challenge.”
Anna Vizer, MD, Endocrinologist, BIK Hospital, Budapest, Hungary
"Through our patients' FEMM charts, we are able to have an objective evaluation of their signs and symptoms, resulting in more effective consultations."
Nicholas Kongoasa, MD, ObGyn, FACOG, Gynecologist and Reproductive Surgeon, Atlanta, Georgia
