Advanced MM: Obesity and Women's Health
Women go through normally occurring obesogenic stages at various times of their lives. The main stages are: intrauterine life, adolescence, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. These stages are also influenced by mental health, and influence mental health in turn. Stages are characterized mainly by hormonal changes, but are also influenced by lifestyle and stressful conditions. While these stages cannot be eliminated, they can be managed and supported. This course will review the evidence and clinical support guidelines to care for patients in each of these stages.
